Albatross
At Albatross, we are reinventing user engagement. Through advanced AI-driven personalization, we generate compelling user experiences that increase conversions and loyalty. We have the resources to build the most advanced foundational models for personalization, powered by a highly qualified team and guided by expert founders.

The Role
As a Data Scientist at Albatross, you will design, implement, and deploy data-driven solutions that power personalization at scale. You will work with large and complex datasets, develop features and models that improve recommendations and search, and collaborate with Applied Scientists and Engineers to bring algorithms into production. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical and coding skills who thrives at the intersection of data science and machine learning, and is eager to have real impact in production systems. More specifically you will:

  • Design and implement ETL processes and ensure high data quality for ML pipelines.

  • Analyze large-scale datasets to extract insights and inform product direction.

  • Develop features and metrics that drive model improvements.

  • Train, validate, and iterate on machine learning models for personalization and search.

  • Translate product and customer needs into well-defined data science problems.

  • Collaborate with Applied Scientists and Engineers to productionize models and ensure scalability.

  • Contribute to shared data tooling and best practices across the team.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.

  • Proven experience developing and deploying data science or ML models in production.

  • Strong Python skills and experience with data science libraries (e.g., pandas, numpy, scikit-learn).

  • Familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX is a plus.

  • Experience with data pipelines, ETL, and large-scale data handling.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work from messy data to business impact.

  • Clear communicator with strong English collaboration skills.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Flexibility to work from anywhere across Europe.

  • Budget for learning and training, attend events and conferences.
